Roatan Accommodations

In West End, you’ll find your own tropical hideaway just a few minutes walk from West End Divers. There is something for every budget and style, from wooden cabins on the beach to fully furnished vacation rental homes. Many of the hotels are full-service with restaurants and bars, and they can arrange special island activities for their guests. It is our recommendation that you make reservations before coming to Roatan, especially in the high season from December through June. Below are some of our favorite accommodations.

Cocolobo

Situated on the shore next to Half Moon Bay, these well appointed rooms face the sea and some of the best sunsets in the world. It’s a family run bed and breakfast, with group and weekly rates available. This is a perfect location for dive clubs and larger groups. All rooms have large glass doors looking out over the private swimming pool and the ocean. Privately located it is just ten minute walk to West End Divers. The rates range from $75 to $95 per night and lodging. Group Specials are available.

Mariposa Lodge

The Mariposa Lodge fills need for moderately priced accommodations at a higher level of comfort. Located 100 meters from West End Divers, in the heart of West End, the lodge is close to restaurants, night life, and local artisan’s shops. Recently renovated, Mariposa Lodge is nestled on a knoll surrounded by tropical gardens. Offering both rooms and apartments, prices range from $40 to $60 per night.

Villagio Verde

This is a great bed and breakfast with a swimming pool, internet access, and air conditioning. The rooms are well equipped and a kitchen is available for the guests. Located a mile from of West End Divers this peaceful setting will appeal to those who desire some quiet time.
Rates range from $65 to $85 per night. Stay and dive packages are available which include 7 nights lodging, breakfast, 10 dives, and the Marine Park fee. During the low season, July through November, the rates start at $710. The high season, December through June, begins at $835. During Christmas and Easter the rates are slightly higher.

Tanglewood Villa

Tanglewood Villa offers comfort, convenience, and security in a quiet setting. It is a short walk to West End and about 10 minutes from West End Divers. The Villa offers a large community swimming pool and full time security. The unit itself has two bedrooms and two baths, a full kitchen with purified water, air conditioning, and all the amenities you could want. The price for one week is approximately $US 1100.

Other Accommodations

Land’s End Resort

This is a fun and stylish hotel located on the shore in one of the more peaceful areas of West End. The resort features rooms with an ocean view, king or queen beds, and private cabins. There is ocean access, a saltwater pool, island deer in residence, internet access, and breakfast. The lounge bar is one of the more popular watering holes frequented by the local community. This is another great location for dive clubs and larger groups. The rates range from $58 to $100 per night.

Posada Arco Iris

This well established garden hotel, a five minute walk from West End Divers, has single and double rooms, with their own beach-front area right on Half Moon Bay. Apartments are available, as well. Advanced booking for this favorite is recommended. The rates range from $35 to $50 per night.
