This was my 8th trip to Roatan and diving with West End Divers. The first trip was amazing, but each trip gets better because they get to know you and tailor the dives to your liking or a divemaster that fits your speed.

The folks at West End Divers were fantastic. I did my first discovery dive with them while in Roatan on a cruise and had the most amazing experience. I could have paid twice as much and this still would have been well worth the money. Simply life changing. I can’t imagine a more beautiful place to dive. We saw so much beautiful sea life while cruising through the reef. And to top it all off, my instructor Alex was awesome!! Looking forward to getting certified and eventually going back.

During our weeklong vacation in Roatan, we had plans to do so many things on the island, but once we started diving with West End, that’s all we wanted to do. Everyone at West End is wonderfully friendly, especially Alex, who we were lucky enough to have as our instructor for open water & adventure diver cert. The shop runs smoothly, was quite accommodating with our schedule, and even switched a planned dive site, so we could visit a wreck on our last day. Long story short– West End Divers is ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS!

After deciding to do our PADI open water certification in Roatan we chose West End Divers based on a combination of stellar reviews on trip advisor and the fact that they are a PADI five star dive resort because of this we had high expectations which were surpassed.

Everyone at the dive shop was professional, friendly and knowledgeable. Our instructor, Michael, gave amazing instruction and was patient and re-assuring both in an out of the water.

The dive sites that we visited were all amazingly beautiful and teeming with life.

The dive shop itself is very clean and has lockers where you can stash your stuff when you are going out for a dive. All of the equipment that we used was high quality and in excellent condition.

The combination of natural beauty on the reef and the amazing people at West End Divers make this the ideal place to learn how to dive or just go for some fun dives.

I came from the US to Roatan to get my Open Water Scuba Certification and I am really happy that I went with WEST END DIVERS. I did a lot of reviewing prior to my arrival and everything great being said about this shop is true. This shop seemed perfect in every way. My best friend and I came with no experience scuba diving and received excellent instruction, even when we needed a patient approach. Our instructor, Alex, worked with just my friend and I, allowing for a lot of personal attention. She was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and fun. We planned on doing a few days of diving but ended up diving as much as we possibly could because the experience was so great. I really trusted all of the staff and equipment, with no problems arising in the week we were diving. From observation of other shops, West End Divers seemed the best kept, with a cleaner interior, newer equipment and many expert staff. They give you a secure cubby to store your stuff, free water and use of the refrigerator, underwater cameras to rent or purchase, etc. Just an all around amazing shop!

Tips- Bring a refillable water bottle. Think about a ‘rash guard’ or other long sleeve water shirt to protect you from the sun if you are fair skinned. Bug spray if you don’t want to get bit.

The dive experience with West End was one of the best I have ever had, The quality of dives, the quality of warm, friendly service and the friendly professionalism of all the dive crew was excellent.
If you are a photographer, novice or professional, this is a must do dive trip. If you want to see a variety of dive sites with very little boat time, this is the place. I am already planning my return trip.
