Roatan is fast becoming one of the more popular cruise ship destinations in the Caribbean. Nature has blessed the island with wonderful scenery, lush tropical vegetation, and AWESOME diving! For your brief stay, West End Divers will give you a chance to experience some of the best diving in the world on its second largest barrier reef.

West End Divers has two opportunities for those arriving on Roatan by Cruise ship, and wanting to experience the islands world renowned scuba diving. For certified divers we have Fun Dives on the barrier reef, and for those who have never scuba dived before, we offer the Discover Scuba Diving course.

Fun Diving Excursions

Our three regular Fun Dives at 9:00, 11:30, and 2:30 will allow most visiting divers time to get in two dives while their ship is here. Dive duration from our dock, and back is about one and a half hours. Schedule adjustments can be made with advanced notification. Dives are $40 each with a $5 equipment rental if required.

Discover Scuba Diving

The Discover Scuba course will get students acquainted with equipment and some basic skills, a bit of shallow water practice, and then a real dive on the reef with one of our certified Scuba Instructors. The time for this experience is about three hours and the total cost for instruction, equipment, and dive is $100.

Transportation

Roatan is now home to two Cruise Ship terminals; one at the town of Coxen Hole, and Carnival’s new facility at Mahogany Bay. We can set up round trip transportation with our driver for parties of two or more. And we will get you back to the terminal on time for departure.

Arriving at Coxen Hole, round trip Transportation for two or more is $15 per person, from Mahogany Bay transportation is $20 per person.
