This month’s recent sightings are flanked by West End Divers’ own world class critter finders and Vanna White impersonators, Courtney and Manon, showing off their sometimes tiny accomplishments of the past 30 days.
You may notice on the board that we are finding “Peas”, and in fact it is Pea season here on Roatan. The “Pea” is a general term applied to juvenile, very juvenile Trunkfish, Cowfish and Boxfish.
They are just the cutest little things that can be found hiding from predators in the nooks and crannies of the reef. But you have to look closely as they live up to their name, and are about the size of a pea.
